My shifter shakes! What the hell is going on?!
Unlike some cars where there is little to no vibration or transmission feeling in the shifter, the RX-8's gear shifter is actually mounted on top of the transmission. So much so, that if you install an aftermarket short throw shifter, you'll have to be careful not to get transmission fluid all over when pulling out the OEM part.
Because the shifter is mounted directly on the transmission, you will feel feedback. This is a good thing and should not be a concern.
