Racing Beat's Revi intake and ram air duct

Some pictures of the Revi intake and ram air duct that I took while doing the install...

The instructions that ship with the Revi are very detailed, and are easy to follow.

This is what your engine bay will look like once you remove all the stock intake components:

Ram air duct:

Finished product, under the hood:

The gains with this unit are somewhere around 3 whp. Not enough to feel, but the car will breath a lot better. Also the ram air duct will see gains when you're over 60 mph, something a dyno cannot give you power numbers on.

Without a doubt this is one of the top 3 intakes available for the RX-8. The only drawback is that it's not going to be usable down the road if you get a supercharger or turbocharger. Not a flaw with the intake, this applies to virtually all aftermarket intakes for the RX-8

Why this intake doesn;t go with Turbo ? Is it about the lack od space under the hood or something else ?
Just DIY your own Cold Air Intake using flexible ducting hose.
I have on my 2008 RX8 sounds good with R1-T exhaust!
If the gains are only 3whp at most the why even bother spending that kind of money on the intake and duct they have to produce more gains than that..

Have something to say?
